My name is Kamau Kenyatta. My experience in real

estate includes 1 flip and owned a 4 unit rental apartment.

Did the flip years back when the ballon was blowing up.

Bought the 4 unit apartment building right as the

real estate bubble burst in 2008. Eventually lost that

building and went into bankruptcy.

I live in the Poconos now but lived in New Jersey for

over two decades. I grew up in South Carolina in a

small town called Timmonsville.

I am a college professor and the drummer in an 11-piece band

that plays party dance music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

My goals are to get back into the real estate game full hog and do it better this time :-).

I would like to start with buy-and-flipping and later add buy -and- hold rentals.

I am open to other techniques but wanna stick with one before moving

to another. The buy-and-flip appeals to me because I've successfully done

it in the past and feel most comfortable with it.

I found Bigger Pockets by accident actually. There was something

in one of my emails a few days ago that I click on. Started reading

and knew I HAD to join!

Welcome to the club! BP is a good accident to come across. There is plenty of free information available and plenty of people will to share their advice.

I used to live in Ithaca, NY and I hope to some day invest up there. Its a high density area where people can't/don't want to expand out very much so demand is high. I also love that area. Winter was awesome and summer was awesome.
