New member intro from Northern Virginia

After a few weeks of lurking, I've decided there's far too much valuable information not to join the BP community and introduce myself. I'm a former government contractor who is hoping to become a full time REI in the Northern Viginia area. I currently own a condo as a rental property and a single family home that I have been upgrading for 2 years to use as my initial investment into the world of flipping. I'm looking forward to chatting with everyone, making connections to aid this transition and giving back to the BP community!

Hi Michael!

I am glad that you announced your lurking because that's what I have been doing for a while too!

I am a realtor and want to get into REI in my area in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

I am lost with the how. Would you mind if I ask you how did you buy the rental property that you have? Mortgage? Do you use the positive rental $ (after paying mortgages, taxes, insurances, management etc) towards the mortgage of the property? How then would you buy another one?

I guess I'm afraid of pulling the trigger :)
