Introducing Myself & Question Regarding Vacation Rentals

Jocelyn Martinez
Posted

Hello! My name is Jocelyn Martinez, and I am new to the Bigger Pockets community. I recently read Joshua Dorkin and Brandon Turner's book, How To Invest In Real Estate. After learning broadly about all of the real estate niches, I decided that I want to learn more specifically about vacation rentals. I was wondering if anybody has any advice regarding vacation rentals in general? Thank you, ahead of time! Looking forward to getting involved more!

Welcome to BP! I don't have any short-term rentals but I know people that do and I have attended two STR seminars. From the info I have gathered around and you should focus on theming the property the right way based on the location and offering amenities that suit the demographics of the place.
