Greetings, My name is Jonathan and I am new to this site. I am in the Los Angeles area and plan to start my ventures with REI in my own backyard. I currently have zero experience regarding RE and hope to learn from the resources made available here as well as the wonderful community I've witnessed so far. I work full-time for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in Communications and my current schedule allows me to commit a decent amount of time into my REI ventures. Some of my short term goals are taking steps into building relationships with seasoned individuals as well as beginners, learn the basics, and start REI part-time. Some long term goals include greater networking, becoming financially free, full-time REI, and helping others meet their own goals. I first found biggerpockets.com reading a funny post called, "Joining This Cult Will Make You Rich" by Jason Hanson. Great read. Please feel free to direct me to any resources you feel is a must have for beginners (including definitions and important terms). Also, please don't hesitate to contact me if you feel we can be mutually beneficial to each other. I am an empty cup when it comes to RE.
