New to real estate, from Queens, NY

Hi BP community!

Glad to meet everyone on BP, it's been a while since I've found such an active forum community. I'm completely new to real estate. Been settling into my job for the last year, and looking to be more financially independent and less on the 8-5.

Currently looking around in Queens, NY and would love to connect with anyone in NY area. Ideally, would love to become a home owner/investor before my birthday next year :)

I'm just starting to read about different investment strategies, and I think I'm more interested in buy and hold, positive cashflow properties. Perhaps multifamily units, or apartments/condos that have 4+ bedrooms. Is 300K-400K a reasonable range for Queens?

Looking forward to more forum discussions on BP,

JZ
