Greetings from Michiana!

Hello all!

I am a 19 year old college student in Michiana (southwest Michigan/Northern Indiana) and have been fascinated with investing/cashflow ever since I read Robert T. Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad and Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich when I was 16.

After my initial reading of these books, I spent the next 3 years of my life learning all I could about investing in stocks, bonds, mutual funds, value investing, day trading, and investing the few dollars I had in index funds which are doing fine.

I am excited to get started in the world of Real Estate investing and go to the local REIA meeting to start networking and learning more about real estate in my area. I have spent the last few weeks reading everything I can find about the subject and educating myself. Down at the local library I've checked out a ton of books on as many subjects I can find from short sales, negotiating, financing, to title insurance to landlording and am working my way through them.

My goals right now are to:
1)educate myself about all types of real estate investing.
2)maintain and continue to improve my credit score

I hope to be ready to begin investing in Real Estate after I graduate, until then I'll continue to sock away money in the index.
The wealth of information is truly incredible and am so glad that I was able to stumble upon this site.
I am excited to join this community and continue to learn.

Larry
