Hey BP family and future business partners!
I am a newbie wholesaler in the Northeast Baltimore region who is trying to gain some traction with my business and really build my brand so I won't be a real estate hobbyist and can actually do this as a real business. I am in the process now of making my website and setting up my live answering service, fax, and getting my marketing materials together.
I have been wholesaling since January but it was a very tough year for me because I work full-time and go to grad school for electrical engineering part-time. Needless to say my time and financial resource are a bit limited but I am VERY determined to become the successful real estate entrepreneur that I know I can be.
I look forward to meeting others who are investing in my market and potentially forming profitable business relationships.
All words of encouragement and helpful suggestions to help someone with a busy schedule are always welcomed and greatly appreciated!

Ok, you get your degree in EE like I did, get into field engineering where you make a ton of money on per diem, and travel the world for 10 years. This is exactly what I did and used the cash to become an investor. I own 10 places now and am buy and hold. Still trying to get to retirement. I am amazed by those who can figure this stuff out with not a lot of cash but that's the better way to go I think. Good luck!

Locate and attend 3 different local REIA club meetings great place to meet people gather resources and info. Here you will meet fellow wholesalers and all the cash buyers you will need.
There are quite a few investors from baltimore, including myself, and the advice about the local REI is the first thing you should do! Trust me, I learned the hard way, that can make your life a lot simpler, especially in such a....interesting city as Baltimore.
Don't hesitate to reach out. Most of my responses are on my trial and errors investing in the region, but I do get excellent cash flow out of house I purchased there in 2013 for 13k is 900 per month...I mean...life is good, for all the headaches.
Hi @Mooro El , I like the way you are jumping right in. Network, network and do your due diligence. Sounds like you also have your plate pretty full, I can relate to that. If you haven't already checked out the podcast's you need too. There was a great one with a wholesaler from Richmond, Va. Can't remember his name but he had lot's of good idea's and tips. @Mooro El the #1 indicator of success is how hungry someone is and it sounds like you've got that. You'll do really well with real estate as long as you keep that drive. Congrats on joining the community.
@Account Closed , That's a really great idea! I had never even thought of that before. Maybe we can talk off-line about ways to find field engineer positions. I'm not sure which companies to apply with to get that kind of work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreaciated!
@Mehran Kamari , Thanks for welcoming me! It has definitely been a serious challenge to get everything together and it's still an on-going issue to get all of the pieces and systems in place, but I am very determined to make things work! I intend to become MUCH more present on this site in the coming weeks and months!
@Paul Timmins , I have been an attendee of some of the local REIAs in my area and I just recently become a member to one of them, with plans to become a member to at least one more by the start of the year. Thanks for the suggestion. The REIA is definitely the place to be to meet all the real players in the local market.
@Lisa Phillips , I definitely believe in the power of networking and I am always happy to reach out to a more experienced person when in need and I am always happy to do the same for others. Will you be at the REIA meeting on the 21st? If so, I'll see you there!
@Ray Corkran , I love the podcasts! I literally never listen to the radio in my car anymore. Lol. I have an hour commute each way to work so I can go through almost an entire podcast per trip. I have learned more from the podcasts than I have through almost 10 months via other methods. Hopefully, I can make it big and get on a podcast one day in the future. Lol. I'll be sure to reach out to you in the future. Maybe we can meet one weekend to talk about how things are going in our businesses.

Thanks @Mooro El , I live in Arlington, VA so i have to take a half day to get there on on a weekday with traffic (it can be horrendous), so I dont make it out there. If you go though, you will be well taken care of, which not everyone can say that when they start off in real estate.
