Hey Jaylen,

Welcome to the community. I would recommend you take the following approach since you are a just starting out.

1) Read/listen to a few books:
Here are a few to start -
The book on rental property investing by Brandon Turner
The house hacking strategy by Craig Curelop
The millionaire real estate investor by Gary Keller
Between those three books, I believe you will have a good fundamental understanding and it will allow you focus a bit more on where you would like to go with your investing.

2) Start attending meetups (or create one):
Look up your local Facebook investor groups and ask if there are any local investor meetups. You will gain a ton of knowledge at these events while building some relationships as well. These will be people in your local market who will be key resources for you starting out. You can also check the Bigger Pockets events section to see if there is anything going on in your area as well. If there is nothing available, start something!

I would say, start with those two and learn as much as you can. THEN come back to the forums and starting asking more specific questions about certain aspects of real estate.

Good luck on your journey!
