Hi my name is Kirk Zacharda and I am absolutely thrilled to be a new member of this community. I have lived in San Diego area for 25 years and have owned and operated an electrical contracting business for 20. I have a lot of experience in the residential markets and my business has risen and fallen with the tides of the housing markets here in SD. Its now back on the rise as most everyones is. I have some realestate experience that comes from the school of hard knocks. My wife and I purchased a home in 97 and proceeded to use the equity to finance a business and then to purchase 3 additional homes. We were part of the subprime problem and got caught up in the frenzy. We purchased 1.2 million worth of property without any income disclosure. Needless to say we purchased in 05 and lost all of them by mid 07. I have to say that was the best thing that could have happened to us. We have been on the sidelines for some time due to the really bad taste we had from our experience but have made the decision to get back on in the game. Wiser and more grounded in our life makes it a bit easier.

My goal/our goal is to build a rehab business which will then allow us to purchase cash flowing small multi family. I am not opposed to working outside my San Diego market and I am exploring some of the markets and strategies that do not have so much competition in them. I am fearless when it comes to risk and a sponge for knowledge.
