Tampa area short term rental
Hey! New here and just started looking for our first short term rental property in the Tampa Florida area. We live in the Fort Lauderdale area and this would be our first out-of-area investment, as well as our first shot at short term vacation rentals. Anyone have any tips on the Tampa area? We are trying to pin down the best vacation rental neighborhoods in/near Tampa for either a single family home or small duplex. Thanks in advance!

Hey Kara,
My advice to you would be to dive into the areas that short term rentals are actually allowed! Depending on where you’re looking in the Tampa/St. Pete area, there are different stipulations for short term rentals in how many you can do per year or for how long of a minimum rental you can book. For instance, one of my houses in St. Pete I’m only allowed to do month long leases or greater.
