Hi BP fam, I am interested in purchasing a short term vacation rental.

Where are some locations (city, state) you have found to be successful? Please share the location and why?!

Thank you

"Where are some locations (city, state) you have found to be successful?"

First, don't get hung up on "the right spot" . When it is far from you and you need a property manager, that 30% plus or minus can really take a bite out of your right location. And there are other issues when you were a remote and something bad happens.

Second, think real estate investing 101. Trying to find a really good deal in a good location. The price of the unit and how much it cost to prep it in furniture is half of the ROI formula along with the Revenue / expense

Third, the most important thing is just making sure you have really educated yourself in all the various parts of short-term rentals.

I would start with "are there any drivable locations within 30 miles or so that are good tourist or City locations that make good returns."
