Hello,

Glad to be a part of this community, looking to get started in short term / mid term rentals and would love to pick you alls brains to make sure I do things right since I am just getting started. If anyone has the time and would be ok sharing a few tips I’d greatly appreciate it. Thank you all and have a great one!

Understand all of your financing options before getting into it! For STRs, the typical options that you'll see utilized are conventional, second home (if you plan to occupy the property for more than 14 days but less than 180), or DSCR. Also, make sure to get pre-qualified from a lender for which ever loan product that you wish to utilize so that you can shop effectively.
