Insurance options for STR in PCBeach, FL

hello, our Airbnb began July 2022 and starting then, we have been paying almost $1,000 monthly in insurance.

we need to cut down this cost but we could not find anyone else to insure us . . . Likely due to the recent hurricane Michael.

we have included coverage for replacement of lost rents for at least 6 months, to cover us for the mortgage payments if a hurricane destroys the property and we have to rebuild.

Quote from @Michael Baum:

There was a post last week by @Andrew Steffens where he said that insurance rates have dropped quite a bit in the last year.

@January Johnson  might have some ideas as well.

Who is covering it now? I assume you have actual STR insurance.

 Thanks @Michael Baum!

Heather I cannot say what it would cost as I am unsure of your property details and Tampa market although in FL is a different submarket, but to give you an idea I have a 3k sqft house a half mile from the intracoastal valued at about $1.1M and I was paying almost $8k for STR compliant Hazard with wind. I just switched and it went down to $5300. If you want send me a PM and I will get you a link to my broker for a quote. Good luck!
