Helen, GA vs Blue Ridge, GA

Shirley Dimitro
Posted

Hello, my husband and I are looking to invest in a STR that we, and our adult sons, can also enjoy. Because of their possible future families, we are looking for a 3/3. We have visited both, Helen, & Blue Ridge, GA and enjoyed both areas. My question is: Which one of the two would fair better as a STR, in terms of bookings & revenue? I've tried to do some research online, but can't seem to really find much. Thank you for your help!

I actually prefer Helen as an investment. BR is becoming oversaturated and premium. Anecdotally you can get by without a view in Helen as it gets booked moreso to visit downtown.

I don’t personally like downtown Helen as I found it too kitschy and crowded, but I loved the general area.

We own in Clayton and have done very well, and more than once I’ve been glad we chose the eastern side of the mountains over Blue ridge
