Advice on Short Term Rentals in Chicago

Stephen Macenas
Posted

I work as a Travel Medicine provider but Chicago is my home. I would love to purchase a property and operate it as a short term rental while I'm gone but use it as a crash-pad every so often when I need to return to Illinois.

Has anyone had success hosting in Chicago? Any advice for this situation as a whole?

Thanks so much and have a great weekend!

@Stephen Macenas - You are probably better off setting up a mid-term rental in Chicago which is what a lot of travel healthcare professionals use.  We currently have an AirBnB & a mid-term rental (furnished finder), over the course of operating both I prefer the mid-term rental.  The overall lift is lighter and you still get a higher upside on your cash flow.
