Joshua Tree Short Term Rental Market

Kevin Tang
Posted

How does everyone feel about Joshua Tree today? Are we currently at the peak? Is the market saturated with too many STRs? Thoughts on JT in 2022?

@Kevin Tang I believe there's currently a moratorium on issuing new STR permits there (until they determine new codes/restrictions). @Nicole Masters posted about this recently (tag not working from my phone but a search should bring that post up). My guess is that locals/ council members feel as though the ratio of STRs to owner occupied homes is out of whack there, which would indeed indicate market saturation/ a tipping point in regulation.
