February 6 Meetup in Manhattan w/ BP Podcast Guest Dave Van Horn

Hello again fellow BiggerPockets members from and around the greatest city in the world, New York! I'm pleased to announce our next Meetup in Manhattan will be taking place on Tuesday February 6th at 5:30pm, so put it in your calendar! BiggerPockets Podcast guest #28 and Blogger Dave Van Horn will be joining us to cover a topic we've never dedicated an event around: Note Investing.

For those of you who don't know Dave (and you should know him) he's been a real estate investor for more than 3 decades!  Dave's specialty is truly passive income through Note investing.  Many of us don't know the ins and outs of notes so Dave is going to have you understand everything about it so perhaps you'll be wanting to do more than just have a desire to flip houses and purchase multi-family property.  There has to be a great reason why Dave has made Note investing his primary form of real estate investing. And by the time he's done we'll all be brought up to speed as to the advantages of Note investing.   I personally like the idea of it as it seems to be less risky or perhaps a better way to get into real estate investing with less experience.  Either way the presentation that Dave has for us should be great.

In addition to our networking time, I'm also going to talk briefly about the current state of the market when it comes to the NYC area and where the leading economists believe we're headed. Many out there are talking about a bubble, and that we're about to see things go sideways.  I'll report back my findings from meetings that I've been to which directly cover this, and how it may impact your real estate investing over the next 4-5 years.

As usual, the event will take place at 27 East 28th Street in the WeWork space. We'll start at 5:30pm and go to at least 8:30pm or until they kick us out.

We're going to have great networking with BiggerPockets members from all over the Tri State area. In addition we'll have food to eat AND even have Beer and Wine to drink (provided you're at least 21 years old of course).

The event amount is $0.  That's right, this is a great way to start off your 2018 so no excuses that you can't afford it.  You'll see on the sign up page here.
