Excited to see everyone at the 1st Annual Best Ever Conference in Denver, Colorado. Confirmed speakers include fellow BPers:

  • Mark Mascia who is a billion dollar developer (and adjunct prof at NYU) and invests in retail and office buildings 
  • Amy Bors who founded Winfield Property Management which manages over 2k units in Oklahoma. She's also the former president of the Oklahoma State Apartment Association.

    @Joe Fairless this is an awesome event. It should be sold out to locals. Can't believe with rock stars like these folks the local Denver and Colorado crowd with no air fair and free lodging haven't bought every seat.

    @Dan Mackin , well, well, well, I can only think of one reason to change my flight and hotel...and attending the meetup on Thursday at BP headquarters is DEFINITELY it! I'll see you there!

    Joe Fairless I'll be sharing my experience of being part of a two-man acquisitions team that has acquired over 6,500 multifamily units since 2012. Don't consider myself an expert by any means but hoping there's some value for others in relaying my experiences and lessons learned.     Just bought two tickets! I NEVER go to things like this- and somehow the lineup of folks and the variety of backgrounds seemed to click with what we want to do next. I need to go to this. My wife and I are pumped to attend. Thanks so much and looking forward to it!

    I will talking about influx in international investors breaking into the US market, how that affects US based investors, and what does it mean for 2017/beyond. I will also be talking about "getting off the fence" and taking the plunge; because if an Aussie from sunny Queensland in Australia can move to the US and get it done, then so can you! Give it a CRACK, make it happen and get 'er done!  @Joe Fairless

     IMN was great. Really high level people there and a lot of the big hedge funds as well. It was really good for my blog and meeting a bunch of lenders, etc.

    IMN was very good.  It's a professionally run and managed event with a lot of bigger industry players.  The educational component was also good, but I think some of the sessions were poorly marketed...  I asked them to rename our panel's session title to something most people would understand.  :-/ 

    I would happily participate again, of course.

    After taking about a year off from investing, I've saved up enough money to get back in the game. This conference is perfect timing. Really looking forward to the conference, especially the discussion around turnkey investing with @Brie Schmidt, @Mark Ferguson, and @Marco Santarelli.

    Can't wait to hear more at the Conference. Specifically, I would like to hear more about apartment syndications from @Jeremy Roll and more from @Brie Schmidt. Apparently, there is also a meetup at the BP's HQ on Thursday. So, that might be an interesting event to check out!

    Sure Joe, I'm teaming up with my friend Reed Goossens on a panel to share thoughts on international fund raising.  In the syndication and money raising game, international investors are interested in the U.S. real estate markets and Reed and I will be sharing our experiences in this area including opportunities, challenges and unique considerations.
