Tenants not allowing access for repairs
I have tenants in Michigan who have not paid rent for 9 months. No judge in our city will approve evictions right now due to the Covid eviction moratorium. Meanwhile the city inspected the unit (required for the rental permit) and wants a few minor things repaired. We gave the tenants 48 hour notice and when our repairman showed up today the tenant would not allow him access inside and told him if he comes back he will "get hurt". The city inspector I am sure will be accommodating in terms of the timing to get the repairs done, however is there a way we can use this to help evict them sooner? As of now we will not be able to have them removed until June 30th.
