I'm about to close on my first property in Atlanta (I live in LA) and I already have tenants in place so I need an LLC created ASAP but was told by my CPA I would need to file in both Georgia and CA for this one property, and neither state has any extra protections like Nevada or Wyoming or Texas. I'm wondering if this is the best approach and hoping to find an Attorney to bounce a few qs off of an potentially file the LLC with. Anyone have any contacts?
@Izzi Melker if you need it done in a hurry you will need an attorney anyway. An accountant may not really know. I am not an expert but I don't see why you could not file in Wy or De. Although Ca will want their pound of flesh regardless.
