Month to Month Lease Agreement and Bigger Pocket Landlord Forms

Does anyone have a month to month lease agreement they have used that they don't mind sharing? I am located in Florida but open for any starting point. Additionally, has anyone bought the Landlord Forms from Bigger Pockets? What is your opinion if so?

    Kyle,

I live in Florida, and all of my tenants are on month to month leases. I would recommend calling a lawyer and having them create one for you or at least critique one that you make. If you just steal a copy of someone else's you wont understand a lot of things in it. There is a lot of jargon and re-wording of things that my lawyer put in to add additional protection.

    Hope this helps,

    Matt

    Thanks Matt,

I plan would definitely be to have my lawyer review anything before I use it. Unfortunately the lawyer I use most frequently says he doesn’t have a month to month lease that he uses so I’ll probably reach out to another one to get started if I can’t get one from a BP member.

Did you ever track down a month to month template?  If so, would you share it?

@John MacMichael  if you want to build your own documents and send manage properties I would recommend a book published by NOLO called Every Landlords Legal Guide. Purchasing the book provides access to their forms and the knowledge / tools needed to build your own legal documents. A month to month agreement is included. The caveat here is to still have an attorney who understands your states laws review the finalized document. The cost is not great and you will have a better piece of mind in the end. I hope this information is helpful.
