There is a tree growing into my yard from my neighbors yard and it’s branches are now hanging over my roof. My insurance company has reached out to me to let me know I need to have those branches cut. I’m a responsible for cutting the trees. How should I go about this?

Being polite and thoughtful, let your neighbor know that you will be doing the work and cutting the branches. You are not in any way asking permission-simply informing. The overhanging branches 'belong' to you. If the neighbor does not respond go ahead as planned.
