What are your credit & income requirements for section 8 tenants?

For those of you who rent out to section 8 tenants, what requirements do you have?

Exactly the same with credit and background. The income is not factored in since section 8 and they run income guidelines.

I'll echo Byron W's comments. You're going to get yourself in trouble if you have different requirements for your section 8 tenants.

The requirements are the same whether section 8 or not. Income must be 3x there portion of the rent. Credit and background check needs to be done. Your criteria should be the same whether it’s a section 8 tenant or not. Don’t be discriminatory in your process.
