Help with eviction Kansas City

Hey everyone,

Looking for information on how I should go about evicting a tenant for non payment of rent. Can I do this myself or should I hire an attorney and what would be the difference between the two.

I’m a new landlord with a trouble tenant and am just looking for guidance from you experts!

And help is appreciated thanks!

This is the Missouri side by the way and I know in the Kansas side you can’t evict until after May 1 I believe but I think evictions can still happen on the Missouri side.

If you are an llc you must hire an attorney in Mo. If the property is in your name you may represent yourself.

You can file an eviction anytime. Nothing about May 1st except the sheriff is not serving writs until at least then.
