Real Estate Attorney's

Jacob Huelsman
  • Louisville
Posted

I have just put under contract, a 4 plex in Indiana.

Trying to be a little proactive, I'm curious on everyone's thoughts on whether I should hire an attorney to look over the lease I created (in which I mean, copied from the resource center here on BP and changed the location) or not.

I'd love to hear everyone's take on this but I'm thinking having a lawyer in my corner just makes sense.

If that is the case, the real question I have is how to I find the right lawyer?

The main objective is to have them keep my lease both correct and legal but I also want someone who can protect my assets throughout this crazy journey .

I live in Louisville Kentucky but the property is located just across the pond in Indiana if any of my locals have a lawyer they would recommend.

Thank you ahead of time and I appreciate all the support guys.

Talk to you soon

-Jake

@Jacob Huelsman In Arizona, there is a local real estate attorney who posts on his website, FOR FREE, Arizona specific clauses that he recommends people incorporate into his leases.

That way when they have to hire him to do evictions later on, the leases already contain everything he needs to get things done more efficiently.

Yes, in my opinion, you should have a lawyer look things over.
