Seattle DADU questions
Howdy! I'm a homeowner in Seattle, and I'm thinking about building a DADU in my backyard, primarily for business use. I'm a therapist in private practice, and generally see just one client at a time. I have a few questions I'm hoping someone could help me with.
1 - What if I build the DADU, and then I want to move out of my house and rent out the house and the DADU? I understand that currently the law requires me to live in my house for 6 months out of the year. Assuming the law doesn't change, is there an "out", like a time limit on how long I have to occupy the house after I build the DADU?
2 - How does a DADU effect sale price? I don't imagine that everyone buying a house in Seattle (especially now that things are starting to slow down) will want to buy a place with a DADU that they can rent out.
3 - Is the existing driveway spotin front of the house acceptable for off-street parking?
4 - Can I run my business out of my DADU? Can I also rent it out as an airbnb or (occasionally) as a longer-term rental?
Thanks!

Whew!
A DADU, or detached accessory dwelling unit, is a VERY rare one! I actually had to look up the term just to remind myself what they were exactly haha!
You are asking all kinds of great questions, but I unfortunately wouldn't know anything really useful that could help.
I did however find this online website that I think if you looked at might be more useful for you.

Good luck!
