How important is Zillow for rentals

Question

We just upgraded a SFR with $2,000 worth of new appliances. My property manager has listed the newly listed property with photos of the 1970's appliances. It is listed on Zillow, and getting about 75 hits a day. I complained about the photos with the old appliances, and the property manager replied, "Zillow isn't all that important when people are looking for rentals". He says that there are other sites that are more important. What do you think? How important is Zillow for tenants looking to find a rental?

Demand to remove these images. 75 clicks is a lot. One is all it takes to get rented. In our area, tenants will only want new style kitchen, brand new appliances.

@Andrew Faukner This is probably area dependent, but in my area here in CT we get our best quality tenants from Zillow or one of their partner sites.

Zillow owns Trulia, and Hotpads. If uploaded correctly you should find your listing on other 2 sites also.

Zillow probably gets the most traffic. I'd also post to Zumper and cozy.co seems to get it on realtor.com.

Lots of good feedback and insight in this thread.

Zillow is a great source for leads, and it's widely accepted that that is the case. It's very strange they would say otherwise.

I could see them using the old photos in the interim time period between when they're being installed and when they are actually installed but that doesn't sound like it was the case. Why would you not want to put your best foot forward?
