PayRange Laundry payment systems - Any experiences?

Question

I am looking for a payment system for my laundry system to avoid the administration of and money-kept-in-physical-coin-form risk of coin operated laundry machines.

I was pointed to the PayRange https://www.payrange.com/ system by a laundry vendor.  Does anyone have experience with this product?

I recently purchased a 6 unit bldg with coin laundry and had Payrange installed. Color me impressed! Installation cost maybe $50 per machine and the machines can still accept coins. Payrange has an online interface and it send my bldg account cash weekly and emails me a report with info about usage. They only take around 3%.

Also, my tenants prefer it. Pretty sure it lets them know when laundry is done. Also millennials don't use cash.

We actually purchase this and customer support is HORRIBLE!! They won’t pick up.  It’s all through email.  I haven’t even set it up. My contractor in on-site and they will not call me, seems as this is a company is from India by the voices in the videos.  I do not recommend.

I cannot say as to the operation of the equipment however I can say with first hand experience that their customer service is terrible!! I ordered mechanical timers and bluetooth modules back in September. Paid in full just about $800 and was told only after ordering they didn't have them in stock and it would be a couple of weeks. Fast forward a couple of weeks and it was a couple more. Then was told all the parts had arrived and were being shipped but could not get a ship date. Then was told by another rep. Orders were being shipped by order date and mine was near the end of the month and would ship the end of Oct. Fast forward to November 29th and emailed again. Was told they will "look into it" Two days later was told it would be another 2-3 weeks to ship. The only thing they did in a timely manner was refund my money!

Part of their income is based on interest they receive on the delay between taking the money from your tenant and delivering it to your bank over 3-5 days multiplied by thousands and thousands of customers. Looks like they do the same thing with landlords as well. If they were interested in growing their network and running an honest and forthright company they would get more respect just saying we can't get the produce or we can't serve your needs at this time and offer to call/email you when the product is truly available.Now looking for other options such as Shinepay.

I have never had a problem, but I don't use Speed Queen. I think S.Q. has their own app-so you might want to try that for your situation.

Don't waste your time with Payrange. It's never worked in my laundry room on new Speed Queen Washer/Dryer. My tenants and myself, I get error messages that machines are "in use," or "disabled."

The customer service is nonexistent you can't reach a live person, and the VM's go unanswered. Through the app email, you only get a robo response.

Is Pay Range still working well for you?

I'm considering a switch at one of our buildings.  We currently pay $4/machine/month, which isn't much for two machines.  They also take $1/user/month, in trade for laundry credit.

However, PayRange, takes 3.25% of transactions, which for our volume comes out much less.  On $100 in Laundry a month, it's $3.25, versus $8.  Plus, no charge to the tenants, in exchange for free laundry service.

From my math, we would have to do $246 in Laundry in a month, to reach $8 in fees.  That much volume won't happen in this building, because there is not that many tenants.

I have Speed Queen

Simplest installation process. You unplug the coin sensor from the machine, plug it into their device, and plug their device into the machine.

Called their customer support and they setup my account. Great stuff.
