Multifamily in South Florida

Hi Everyone!  I'm new to Bigger Pockets and thrilled to have found this amazing resource.  I live in CA but I'm looking at multifamily properties in South Florida.  Is anyone investing in S. Florida and what are your thoughts about the area in general.  The cities I am considering are Stuart, Jupiter, West Palm and Ft. Lauderdale due to some family in those areas. Most of these are small areas without many multifamily offerings listed for sale.  Any direction you can provide to locate deals, and advice on the area in general would be greatly appreciated.

@Peg Wilkinson out of the 4 areas I would look into properties in Jupiter.

Hi Melvin,  Thanks so much for your response.  Why Jupiter?

@Melvin List Curious about Jupiter too. I'm new and have been looking at Multifamily and havent found much in the Jupiter area. There is a lot available further south in Lake Worth and Riviera Beach but not the best neighborhoods. Im torn between multifamily and single family in jupiter but I feel single family would be easier but not as much cash flow.

@Peg Wilkinson and @Alex Gaeta I don't think you can go wrong with any of the areas mentioned.

I am curious where this post went - what area did you decide to invest in Peg and Alex? Has it been successful? We love both coasts (Jupiter / palm beach area on the east coast, and, sarasota / tampa area on the west coast) I highly suggest looking into both if you’re adding to your portfolio. We’ve found success on both sides. They’re similar yet so different.  Cheers!
