Adding lease addendum during the lease
I have a tenant who on several occasions has put things down drains or a toilet that has caused clogs. This latest clog cost about $500 to fix. I’m considering adding an addendum to the lease to cover these types of situations since the original lease, provided by my realtor, doesn’t cover it. Furthermore, I want to negotiate out lawn care giving the cost to me. I’ll discount the lease a bit to help.
Has anyone added an addendum to a lease during the lease period? What was the tenant’s reaction?
