60-day notice in California

I will be delivering a 60-day notice to a M-T-M tenant.

After reading an earlier posting on this site, I'm wondering ...

If the notice if served for example, on March 15, does the tenancy end May 15, or does it actually end at the end of the 2nd month, on May 31 ?

In California, the notice goes the calendar 60 days instead of whole month like some other states.
