Landlord changing mind?
hi all! I just applied to and was offered an apartment. I received the lease agreement Friday morning. I replied asking if they would accept a slightly lower security deposit and also inquiring about when and how to make the payment. After not hearing back all day I called the property manager and left a voicemail. I also emailed a signed copy of the lease Saturday morning after deciding a lower security deposit wasn't worth it. I haven't heard back from them yet. They already offered me the apartment and said they're excited for me to move in. Given that I mentioned the deposit wasn't a dealbreaker either, what are the chances they've decided not to rent to me because I asked for a lower deposit? I'm guessing they just don't do business on the weekend but I just really want to hand off this check! Perhaps there's no rush on their end now they know they have a tenant? It's a family owner and not a big complex.

It is Sunday so I would not suggest calling again. I would wait until Monday afternoon to check in if you do not get a call back Monday morning. If you become a nuisance then it could turn off the landlord to you.
