Considering to do house hack as Airbnb

Hi all,

I have recently acquired a duplex to do house hack with.  I was planning to have a long term tenant but received some comments to do Airbnb as well.

It is a 2BED/1BATH unit.  For anyone who has done something similar, how much did you spend on furnishing the unit?

@James Carlson It's all about your area. Here in the DFW you can go sit in a nice neighborhood, set up alerts on FB marketplace, and get brand new furniture at extremely low rates. The best deal I came across was a 55" 4K TV for $180 in the box. Couches, bedroom sets, etc. You can easily grab that stuff for $200 - $300. Of course this process takes about a month to furnish the place. If you are in a hurry my route isn't the route to go.
