@Alfredo T. Up here in CT we have a Sears scratch n dent store that you can sometimes get good deals at.  Try seeing if they have a store in your area or there is one similar.

Also, try hitting the Lowe's and Home Depot's of the world on holiday weekends.  They often have appliance sales during those times.

You;'ve got to find the guys reselling the cheap stainless appliances pulled from brand new condos where the owners immediately upgrade. they're out there, usually on CL. I once bought a couple of brand new white pilot light ranges for $50 each. I don't do this anymore because my buildings are 3 and 4 floors and I'm not EVER moving appliances up and down those f-ing stairs again!

Check the inventory of your local used appliance dealer as another option. I usually buy new, but occassionally have bought a cleaned up fridge and stove in some of my appliance packages from trade-ins/ haul aways. I picked up a fridge for 200 and a late model gas stove for 265 installed.

Used appliance retailers that pop up in your area are NZ appliance and appliance hub (never used these before) . Worth calling and asking for photos of  available inventory that matches your criteria after noting that you are a property manager. Just verify their warranty and unit condition/ history before committing. I usually request something 1-2 years old. Sometimes they can source out units from warehouses if they dont have item in stock and you have some flexibility with time.

@Alex Dem that's exactly the reason I sold my car and bought a truck. Also always have ratchet straps in the back seat as well! I almost bought 4-5 toilets today!

@Brian Pulaski , no luck with Sears on my side either. The damage is pretty substantial for what they want for them. Floor models are definitely good, the only drawback they don't deliver those in my area.

@Alex Dem and @Michael Noto the couple of times I stopped in there was not successful. They have a lot of $2000-3000 fridges with nasty damage on the front that they wanted $1000+ for. I was never able to find a flip friendly fridge, however only went twice.

I always look at HD or Lowes for floor models. Lately have seen a few $1100-1300 models with scratch and dent in the $750-900 range. One today was $850 or so, and the only dent I saw wasn't on the back. I wasn't tempted but held off.

@Michael Noto Funny enough , were shopping for SS appliances today and went to Sears to check out. Their prices are quite unreasonable. Home depot was much better with free delivery.  And they have clearance items as well.

With pro account with Home Depot, they will submit a bid for your purchase to some bidding center to see if they can drop the price even lower. Saved us over 1k on windows.
