Landlord withholding Tenant security
Can a landlord retain a portion of the tenants security deposit upon lease termination for the purpose of covering the cost of advertising for a replacement tenant? In this instance the tenant gave 30 days notice to terminate the lease 14 days early. The landlord secured a new tenant prior to lease termination.
