Tenant is month to month, what do evictions look like?

Hi, I recently acquired a new triplex (florida) in a c- neighborhood. All of the tenants were on a month to month basis with the previous owner. This is my first experience with month to month tenants. It sounds like they are going to pay, in the advent that they do not, how will this affect the eviction process?

What are the major differences between a leased tenant being evicted and a month to month person being evicted?

At first glance, it sounds like I actually have more power because the tenant doesnt even have a signed contract saying that they live there. On the flip side of that, it sounds like it may be more difficult delivering notices, and officially getting them out?

Part 2: Based on the responses, should I want/force them to be on a lease? What is the advantage to having them on one?

Any experience and stories are welcome...
