RenterBrokeLeaseAgreement in Philadelphia
Hello My name Allison and I live in the Philadelphia area. I purchased my first duplex last and it came with a tenant. The tenant renewed the lease until July 2017. The tenant recently called me and stated they were breaking the lease and gave me less than weeks notice. So I'm a little confused on how to proceed. I did send them acknowledgemention the mail stating they chose to break the lease and I was not returning the security and cited the reasons why. I'm not sure if I should proceed with collecting the rest of the rent. I'm trying to be as professional as possible because as landlords we have limited options..So since I have little experience what type of suggestions do any of you have?
