Traditional rental vs. VRBO

Hello, I have a rental in Fort Collins that I'm getting ready to put on the market. I have a friend that does an Airbnb out of her home and makes a killing every month. I have a two bedroom two bath townhouse. There's a strong rental market in Fort Collins, but I know that Airbnb's can be more lucrative if there's enough demand. Any thoughts on which would be better?

@Victoria Dennis - The Hampton Roads Landlord Assoc is hosting a lunch and learn this year on alternative rental strategies - Air B&B, room rents, and group rentals.  Off the top if my head I think it's in Oct. We meet the first Wed of the month at noon. Would you be willing to attend and share your story about Air B&B?  It's laid back.  Members share their experience and we have a Q&A.  I have one other Air B&B landlord.  It would be great to have two.
