Property managers in Richmond Va

Hello, 

I'm new to real estate investing and would appreciate any help I can get. I own a home just outside of Richmond in Midlothian, Va. I'm about to by a second property, which will become my primary residence and I would like to rent out the first house. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a property manager in the greater Richmond area or advice on how to select / search for a good property manager? 

Also, I bought the first house two years ago and have about $35,000 in equity.  Im not sure whether it would be more profitable to sell the house or rent it and I'm interested in advice from other investors on how they decide whether to sell a property or rent it out.
