Wood burning fireplace in rental?
My rental I just purchased has one unit with a wood burning fireplace and another with a wood burning stove. In both cases the tenants have been using them and have grown accustomed to doing so. My handyman strongly recommends removing the stove and boarding up the fireplace.
How would you handle? I am double checking with insurance company.

^^I would do just as @James Wise suggested. Leave it until they move out, then remove it or convert it to something safer (gas, electric glow logs, nothing). I would be incensed if I rented someplace from you based on its current amenities, and then you came in and took one away while I was living there.
