Tile vs pergo laminate

We are rehabbing our first investment property to rent. I got the tile estimate today to do the bathroom and kitchen (about 200 sq ft) and it came to $2500. That would cover everything (materials and labor) EXCEPT the tile itself. Does this seem high?

Also pondering a pergo laminate that looks like travertine as an option.

Pros and cons of either option?

Thanks for your help!

Vinyl plank flooring would be a great option and is so easy as a DIY project, especially with only 200 sq ft.  Probably $350-$600 depending on the brand.
