Prospective tenant / Amway

Mr Good

Hi. I own a duplex and one tenant has always been a hassle to collect rent from. Always late, barely scrapes by. He is moving out next month. In some ways I pity him because his entire life is absorbed with work and, on the side, Amway. Everything he consumes seems to be Amway. And I've heard that Amway people rarely have any money.

The duplex is large, about 1500 sq ft or a bit more. I showed it yesterday to a new prospect. Turns out, this prospect is also Amway. She was amazed that all of the products in the duplex (still occupied) were identical to what's in her house.

At one point she mentioned that they had problems with a previous landlord, and sued them. But as I listened, it did sound like they had legitimate problems at this previous residence.

Two questions:
1. Are members of the Amway cult notorious for not having money to pay bills? Stingy? Nitpickers?

2. This person mentioned that they may want to purchase a Rubbermaid storage shed to keep outside. Because there is no garage for this duplex. There is room for it but I don't like the idea. What is the general opinion of landlords when it comes to outdoor storage sheds?

Thanks for any advice.

I did the Amway thing for a while and you can make money on it but it consumes your whole life. I had a great paying job and did it as a side project. One problem is that the income you get from that is hard to verify and never consistent, I would be wary of not getting paid my rent if it were me.

REJECT!

They sued a prior landlord.

That's it. Next applicant, please.

The only people making good money with Amway is those who sell the business you know the corp suits themselves.

I am looking at thr amway biz..doing my research. I see people say it is a scam because the people at top make all the money. Same as a job That people go to just about everyday. Many throw out the word pyramid scheme for many businesses. Majority dnt even know what it means. Network marketing the term came from the federal govt using amway as starter. I see people have hard times growing teams in the amway biz. I saw that the profits  from each product goes to the amway biz owner not the company. Unlike every job where profit goes to the company. I looked at their prices compared to retailers. Their prices are actually right inline and some cheaper. A few products pretty high I guess a benefit to why. How could it be that bad if one can make money regardless of amount and very competitive prices. I see why people spend 40 plus years working where the CEO gets all the money lo any biz you have to put time and effort into it. Most dnt want to do that. Why so many play the lottery lol. Money with little effort. Money back guarantee hmm never see that in biz. May gv a shot lets see.

Network marketing, people at top make all the money. Or makes money off people under. Same as all jobs. Not affiliated with any network companies. I just hate stupid people.
