Rental Property in Tampa

Hi Everyone!

I have been doing a lot of research on Tampa and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with rental properties in Tampa. I know that the vacancy rate is pretty high at 3%. Has anyone had any trouble with a rental property in Tampa where it was difficult for their property to be rented out?

Can anyone recommend a good property management company?

Any additional information on the rental market in Tampa would be greatly appreciated! Like the best locations for a rental property!

Hi @Antoine Martel

I have several rental properties in Tampa and in general it is a terrific place to build a portfolio. Also, a 3% vacancy rate is LOW!! That´s just 10 vacant days out of 365. The majority of landlords on Biggerpockets would be delighted with a vacancy rate like that.

I concentrate in C grade neighborhoods in Pasco County. It´s one of the few places you can buy concrete build single families in solid neighborhoods for well under $100,000.
