Rental Credit for nonworking appliance

I have a rental house in Dallas, TX. The house is currently occupied. Recently, there was some extensive water damage that came from a busted dishwasher. I've had the restoration company out, filed an insurance claim and am basically waiting for the insurance money to do repairs. My tenant seems to be more concerned with the inconvenience of not having a working dishwasher than anything else.  She asked to purchase one out of the rent and I've tried explaining that a plumber needs to look at the old one and the connections first to determine exactly where the leak came from.  And that other repairs need to be done first. A dishwasher is an amenity, not a necessity. Now, she's asking me for a credit in her rent for the "inconvenience" because the house "came with a working dishwasher".. They have been good tenants,  but I"m not sure what to do. It will be at least another week before the insurance check comes in and I can start repairs. Thoughts?
