    Replied

My husband was accused of stealing their laptops.  Always a laptop, nothing else really.

Plus, we always tell the tenants that they should be there when we are doing the repairs, either for my husband or our work crew.  Many times the tenant was there, but a few times they were not.

After quizzing them about friends, neighbors, family, who was there last, all the "Columbo" questions asked, I would then ask them to send me a copy of the Police Report they received when they called the Police.  Of course they never called the police so they don't have a Police Report.

Well, my next response was that we can't do anything without a police report.  (Knowing full well they have to have some type of evidence that husband or workers stole their stuff)

In talking with the Police it usually is a boyfriend, a neighbor, a kid their watching, that takes their stuff, as a rule.  Not all the time, but as a rule.

So until they send me a Police Report, too bad so sad.

When we retired in 2009 we opened up a used laptop store.  (only kidding)
