Renters with Pets
So I have a question in regards to tenants with pets. I am currently in the process of interviewing tenants and my top choice is a family who will most likely become long term tenants. They currently have a really low credit score as a result of a recent foreclosure. However, they have strong jobs with strong pay. Is it worth while take on the risk of having a pet in the home in exchange for the likelihood of them remaining in the lease for several years...hopefully 5+ years?
Thank you

Ben... search for "pets" and you will find many threads on this topic. After de-dogging and de-catting more than one unit, we are glad to have a no pet policy. Responsible pet owners are in the minority. Irresponsible pet owners abound.
