Empty unit needs eyes on it

When your unit is empty, what do you use to monitor it?

We just purchased a duplex, and it is going through a renovation. It's across town. Wife is thinking of getting a mobile wifi system, but I can not find one that does not have a monthly subscription.

Any suggestions from the vets in here.

Fully agree with Bill on the neighbor comment. I always try to meet the neighbors anywhere I invest. I had one unit empty for a couple months earlier this year doing a renovation. Neighbors watched over it for some beer haha.
