Renting out a mobile house which has non-permitted room.

Hello,

We're about to buy a property in high desert area in California.

There are old manufactured house in the property.

However it looks like the seller added additional room.

I asked to my agent if the room was permitted or not, and waiting the answer.

For now, I just wonder if there will be any issue if we rent out the mobile home if the additional room was not permitted.

Thank you.

It will come back to haunt you if there are any injuries or incidents that resulted in that un permitted room. It it your decision wether you feel it is safe enough to be habitable without risk.
