Furnished vs. unfurnished
Does anyone have experience in renting out apts. furnished? Any thoughts/advice? I own only one unit, an efficiency apt. in a great downtown DC location. My tenant is moving out after 9 years, and I'm wondering if it would be better to furnish it and rent it out that way, or just continue with a regular rental. Rent for furnished is almost double in the area ($2200+/month vs. $1200) -- but management fees will be much higher, and rentals are shorter term, with more possibility of empty time.
Your thoughts?
