Outdoor Smokers.... does the inside of property smell?

If you have an outdoor smoker, will the inside of a property smell?

I could smell the smoke on this person standing 3-4 feet away. On the other side of the room, I couldn't smell them from that far.

This is a roommate situation, and I hate the smell of smoke inside and don't want the house to smell like smoke.

Do outdoor smokers make the inside of a home smell? If so, how strongly?

Yes. The inside will smell. Their clothes will stink and it will fester throughout the house.
